Pitt Panther's Star Rod Rutherford Back In The 'Burgh!
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former University of Pittsburgh quarterback, Rod Rutherford, to the practice squad. With the recent injuries to Ben Roethlisberger and the demise of Tommy Maddox, Rutherford may earn a spot on his hometown team. Charlie Batch is listed as the starter for the Cleveland game Sunday and Ben should be back soon. Rod is just glad to be with the Steelers after being out of football for six weeks. He was cut by the Carolina Panther before the season started, so he's excited about this chance. Rutherford had great statistics at Pitt and may be some much needed insurance for the Steelers. Get the rest of the story.
